Manu Bennett Of 'Hobbit' Arrested After Alamo City Comic Con Post-Party Incident

Manu Bennett, who is known for playing the character of villains was arrested after knocking out a guy.

The villain actor was a guest at the Alamo City Comic Con over the weekend. But was arrested around 4:30 am on Sunday. He was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly knocking out a fellow guest.

In a statement obtained by TMZ, it said that Benneth was having a good time during that time and had too much of drink. He was asked to leave the party after they've noticed him looking so intoxicated. While making his way out, he reportedly paused for a while and stared at the other guests. When one guest asked "What?" he allegedly punched him in the face.

The victim is said to be suffering from a broken nose. The actor was then arrested from his room at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. First he denied the incident, saying he didn't remember anything but then claimed he was only defending himself.

He was released by noon after he paid the bail of $1,600.

Bennett played Azog in the recent 'Hobbit' films. He was also the main villain, Deathstroke, in the second season of the hit series 'Arrow.'

Another TV personality was also arrested for misconduct. 'Star Trek: Voyager' actress Jennifer Lien, who portrayed Kes in the spin-off series, was also arrested for allegedly exposing herself to her neighbor's minor children.

The actress was said to be in Tennessee when the incident occurred. According to the complainant, who was identified as Carey Smith, Jennifer rant over her three children who were reportedly under 13 years old.

Smith claimed that the actress vociferated then lifted her shirt up, exposing herself to the children. Afterwards, she allegedly turned around and dropped her pants.

When authorities came to her house, she reportedly refused to put on her clothes and was forced to be carried to prison, TMZ reported.
