David Beckham who is being considered as one of the celebrities that might probably replace Daniel Craig for his iconic role as James Bond, made a recent statement that he doesn't want to become a full time actor.
The retired soccer player said to Good Morning Britain, ''Apparently so. I haven't been contacted yet. That's not something that I want to do."
''There have been people saying this is the launch of my next career, and obviously as a person who has a friend like Guy Richie, he's asked me to be in a few things and I've done it, but just out of fun - I've enjoyed it, but that's as far as it will go. I'm definitely not the next James Bond. Not yet!" he said.
His revelation might have something to do with his concern as he previously revealed he is aware of the possible pitfalls awating him in the entertainment industry. "I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed," Beckham remark.
Though he is not considering the acting career yet, Beckham said that after retiring from soccer in 2013, he has now more time to spend with his wife Victoria Beckham and their children.
Talking in a Facebook Q&A for Belstaff to promote their new film "Outlaws", David said: "I will always miss the game because I played for 22 years, and it was all I ever wanted to do as a kid, but it's been a kind of easy transition really, no challenges. I get to spend more time with my family and more time at home."
He also said that he still travels for work but most of his time these days is spent with his family.
David and Victoria have four children, Brooklyn who is now 16 year old, Romeo, 13 year old, Cruz, 10 year old and four-year-old daughter Harper, who recently told her mom that she wants to follow her dad's foostep.
