It's just that maybe sometimes, actors unintentionally bring their characters in real life just like Enzo and Damon, who happen to be best friends in the popular TV series 'The Vampire Diaries'.
The Damon and Enzo bromance is definitely still alive and kicking, not only in the show but in real life as well. Reports say that Michael Malarkey, who plays the bad boy character of Enzo in TVD, was too close to getting in trouble with his wife, 'Holby City' actress Nadine Lewington the past week, after Ian Somerhalder gave him a hickey on his neck.
Malarkey talked about his co-star during his one-on-one interview at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, saying "One thing I can tell you is he gave me a hickey this week in Vegas. I tried to cover it up a little bit and it's just kind of a hard thing to explain to the Mrs."
The actor added that he and Somehalder were just playing around a photo booth during their Vampire Diaries convention in Vegas when Somerhalder took a bite on his neck while saying "everyone needs a little bit of Malarkey".
When Malerkey's attempt of covering up the hickey didn't sit well with his wife, he asked Ian Somerhalder to record a video of him explaining that the hickey was all because of him.
While Somerhalder's hilarious vampire bite-turned-hickey was nothing but a friendly joke, it seems like things aren't the same between Enzo and Damon in the upcoming season.
"As far as my character goes, there is loads of good, juicier stuff," he hinted. "My character will have a new love interest, so there is something on the table."
Malarkey also teased about his character's softer side, saying "We literally ramped it up and juiced it up, so I am pumped. It will be so good."
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 returns on October 8, Thursday on The CW.
