Bindi Irwin 'Dancing With the Stars': Contestant Paid Tribute to Dad Steve Irwin, Wears Pretty Pink Dress for Next Performance

Bindi Irwin took the Hometown Glory episode of 'Dancing with the Stars' to pay tribute to her father Steve Irwin. For last Monday's episode, the 17-year-old star chose 'You Shook Me' of AC/DC as accompaniment for her performance.

Dancing to her dad's favorite song together with her partner Derek Hough landed them on the first place with a total score of 25 out of 30. The memories Bindi Irwin had with the song probably pushed her to do her best during the performance.

"At the very end it hit me, because of the meaning behind the song. It was so great because that they [had] so many memories attached [to it]," Irwin exclaimed.

The Australian TV personality and her dance partner did a tango which wowed the audiences. Even the judges were amazed with their dance number of the 1980 hit.

The 'Dancing With the Stars' performer recalled that her mom and dad would always listen to the song back then. When she was younger, the actress would enjoy listening to her 'The Crocodile Hunter' star parents.

"I remember when I was really little dancing to that song with dad. And it means everything to me," Bindi stated after the performance.

"That's what my mom and dad, especially, would listen to. I was so little and so happy," she said before the performance. On Twitter, the teen star expressed her happiness.

Meanwhile, for the next episode of 'Dancing With the Stars' Bindi Irwin will shift from her edgy, chain-detailed black gown to a pretty pink dress. The wildlife expert admitted that she is nervous about abandoning her signature khaki.

The dance pair also revealed that they will be doing a waltz of the 'Only a Man' of Jonny Lang.
