Attack on Titan revived new life into the anime and manga scenes. The simple fact is that apocalyptic world where titans are humans' natural predators has been terribly and excruciatingly entertaining. The movie and some games, however, have thoroughly missed the mark and have even angered the most purists of fans.
Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have teamed up for a faithful adaptation of the beloved series into consoles. Eren is controlled using the now-famous 3D Maneuver Gear to zip past the titans. He has to use the environment to gain speed and target specific parts of the titan to bring it down.
Just like in the series, Eren can get caught by titans with the wrong use of the Gear, as well as crash into walls, Techno Buffalo reported. As Eren, you also get to team up with other players as you move along the game. The 3D Maneuver Gear is easy to use and the titans are just as smart as they are in the anime and manga.
The game is due to be released on the Playstation platforms, including PS 3, 4, and Vita sometime in 2016, the Latino Post reported. It is a marked improvement over the Nintendo 3DS game that was released last summer in terms of missions, fluidity, and overall game structure. In a very real way, these PS games capture the insanity that this anime has become world famous for.
Koei Tecmo might also release the game on Xbox and PC if there is enough demand for it. If you support this, then go to their Facebook or Twitter to put your support behind the initiative. Additionally, the game will follow the anime timeline. Fans who do not follow the manga need not worry about inconsistencies or even spoilers while playing the game, Yibada reported.
So, without further ado, here is 8 minutes of gameplay that you just have to check out:
