Gemma Atkinson Reveals That A Wealthy Man Attempted To Buy Her Love

Actress Gemma Atkinson revealed that a wealthy man offered her a vast amount of money in exchange for her affection.

The former 'Hollyoaks' actress revealed to the Daily Star Sunday via Sunday Mirror that a wealthy admirer wanted to buy her love. The 30 year old actress said she was completely shocked with the indecent proposal as he was willing to pay her a huge amount of money if she would just accept his offer and marry him and live with him in Dubai.

"I was asked to go and live with him in Dubai. He wanted to pay for me to go... he wanted me to be his wife," she revealed to the media outlet.

Atkinson claimed that she hadn't met the guy and said that her photoshoots probably caught his attention. She also said that her wealthy admirer approached her management team to deliver her his offer.

"He was a sheik so it would have probably been in a big palace or something," she added.

But Gemma was not delighted by the proposal, so she quickly turned it down, "I just thought 'Oh gosh, no'. I didn't follow it up. I just left it to my agent to politely decline," she said.

Gemma played Lisa Hunter on the 'Hollyoaks' series since 2001 and her character was involved in hard-hitting lines of the story including bullying and harming herself.

Just this week she greeted her former soap family on their 20th anniversary. "Happy 20th anniversary #Hollyoaks proud to have spent six years with you. Congrats to cast and crew past and present," she tweeted, along with her message was a throwback photo of herself.

Just recently she was spotted at Avalanche Italian restaurant. The 'Emmerdale' star put her gym-honed physique on display while enjoying the night out in Manchester, as per Manchester Evening News.
