'Krypton' Is Now The New Superman Series? [Official Release Date and Spoilers]

Superman fans are up for some treat knowing that the "Man of Steel" TV series is coming out with a prequel called "Krypton" via the SyFy channel. It all started in 2014 when according to Latinos Post, Warner Horizon TV made an announcement about the said prequel.

The prequel will be focused on Krypton and the setting and location would also be there. The story will be released according to the character of Kal-els' grandfather. Lots of people don't know much about what is really the deal with this planet because there were only few information told regarding it and this show's goal is to tell the public a lot of its untold stories.

It has been a while since the network announced the coming of its prequel and it was only this Thursday that the screenwriter for this project, David Goyer, gave out a statement again about the subject. In an interview done by ComicBook with Goyer, the screenwriter confirmed that the project is still a go and even gave out some teasers about the plot. The story will pick up from the House of El when it was shamed and ostracized. The grandfather of Kal-el will try to be a hero and save the planet from completely being destroyed. It is his goal to save it because it is where Superman will be born.

Goyer further explained, "It takes place 200 years before Man of Steel. We're treating Krypton like it's a historical piece. We look to previous cultures on earth to model what that would be like."

As for the actors who would be involved in this show, there is no one who is confirming yet although Russell Crowe said he is willing to be Jor-El again, but only if the project is a movie and not a TV series.
