Microsoft has finally launched the newest Windows 10 operating system. The long wait is finally over as the latest version of the operating system has hit the Windows devices worldwide. For months, the multinational company has promised a range of exciting feature which will now be revealed.
Windows 10 features a new Start menu which displays a panel of live tiles on the right where users can pin their favorite apps. On the left side is the traditional Start menu of Windows 7 that enables users to categorize their apps, files and settings systematically.
The despised Charms bar in Windows 8 has been replaced by Microsoft with an 'Action Center' that delivers important notifications and quick access to settings which is rather useful than the previous one.
The speed and quick responsiveness of Windows 10 is quite noticeable which users will surely like. The program and apps opens and runs faster and smoother in the new operating system.
Cortana which is one of the features that Microsoft has been bragging appears like a search box on the task bar. The virtual assistant will function like a real personal assistant once given access to the user's email and calendar and to offer relevant information to the user once needed.
The new web browser of Microsoft called Edge functions like Google Chrome. The browser has a light stripped-back user interface and meek tools below the search bar. The new browser have been optimized, making it one of the fastest browsers there is. It allows bookmarking pages for offline reading.
Windows 10 also offers support for DirectX 12 to boost the gaming performance. It has a built in Xbox app so gamers can record their game sessions even edit and share them. One of the features that gamers have been waiting for is the ability of the operating system to use PCs and tablets as displays while streaming Xbox One games as long as it is on LAN.
