Microsoft Improves Level Of Security For Windows 10

Microsoft has improved the level of security of Windows by using virtualization as a means to address the heightened security risks that might target devices. The company has invested time to make the components of the upcoming Windows hard for it to be resilient to security attacks.

The multinational tech company has seen that security attacks nowadays are becoming more sophisticated and aggressive. Many organizations are being penetrated by hackers despite the strict security guidelines they follow.

To address the need, Microsoft has updated the security of Windows 10 to prevent identity theft and spreading of infectious malware. The local security authority (LSA) that can provide hackers full authentication during attacks will transferred to a different vessel that will serve as a virtualization-based security (VBS) location.

According to the senior product manager for Windows business security Chris Hallum, LSA is the favorite spot of invaders and their priority is to steal its content so they can navigate the network without requiring any other info.

Since the LSA is responsible in facilitating communication, it is the one usually targeted by invaders. But with the VBS, the hacker will not gain control in the authentication process even if the operating system is already compromised.

Microsoft's objective is to create thicker and taller walls to improve the security. In this way, more 'speed bumps' will be made to stop the attacks. Compared to the security offered by Windows 7 and Windows 8, the security measures of Windows 10 is more advance and sophisticated.

The tech company has also added new security and authentication features like the Passport and Windows Hello.

However, despite the efforts of Microsoft, security issues will not be totally eliminated. Professional hackers can still adopt new capabilities to penetrate to any system.

Microsoft has recently released an emergency fix that will disable hackers from manipulating and infecting a victim's device with malware. Users can take advantage of the high security of Windows 10 starting this July 29.
