Windows 10 - Automatic Updates Is Now Causing Problems

With just four days left before launch, a Microsoft representative has confirmed that all Windows 10, will be mandatory and installed automatically. Many of the PC have stop working correctly due to Windows 10's policy of automatic updates.

Many PCs have stopped working correctly due to Windows 10's policy of automatic updates. This setback that Windows 10 has revolves around the Nvidia graphics cards, which automatically installs new drivers which then break multimonitor setups and SLI (dual card) configurations.

The PCs booting also stops whenever the Windows 10 updates, which then forces Windows 10 into its emergency recovery mode.

In the Nvidia forum poster slycoder, it stated, "Please pull these off Windows update!!!" also in the forum poster, "It makes my second monitor not work and lots of flickering! Please. I roll back and Windows Update reinstalls them :/" "I second this," agrees ZabaZu. "For multi screen users, that driver is flat out broken and it is beyond annoying that windows auto updates to it."

Even Paul Monckton, the Forbes contributor has also experienced the Windows 10 problem. Paul Monckton had been researching on Windows 10, and said that the complication lies in the conflict between Windows Update and Nvidia's own driver and software management tool the 'Nvidia GeForce Experience'.

Paul Monckton said, "It looks like driver version 353.54 [the also said,"The problem is the Nvidia GeForce Experience then tried to downgrade that to the previous version while claiming the previous version was actually newer."

Richard stated on Hay on SuperSite for Windows, that the KB3074681of Windows causes Explorer to crash. Richard Hay said Explorer will shutdown and restart immediately, if the Programs and Features Control Panel is used to try to uninstall or modify a program that is installed. Richard Hay also said that Explorer will also crash by opting to enable or disable an active network connection.

To prevent the problem, Windows 10 users have to turn off automatic updates for non-essential categories like drivers.
