Denise Van Outen Weight Loss: TV Presenter Says 'Strictly Come Dancing' Helped Change Her Attitude Towards Food

'EastEnders' actress, Denise Van Outen said being part of 'Strictly Come Dancing' helped change her attitude towards eating.

Denise Van Outen said she realized the importance of eating the right food to sustain her energy level throughout the day, especially now that she joined the dancing competition.

The English actress declared, "You should change your thinking and approach to food. I learned a lot doing Strictly Come Dancing," the 41 year old TV host told OK! Magazine. "You really notice the difference between eating something healthy and something rubbish when you need the energy to keep going."

She also revealed her daughter Betsy plays a major role in helping her to keep in shape.  Van Outen remarked they both found "cycling" as an enjoyable exercise that they can enjoy together. Adding "We get on the trampoline in the garden together, too. I try and incorporate it into what I do in my everyday life."

When asked who are the actresses that she looks up to in terms of ideal body, she said Abbey Clancy and "Kimberley Walsh has a lovely shape and a really nice bum. When we did Strictly together, she was good at all the Latin because she had a booty to shake. She can twerk it and I can't!"

Meanwhile, Denise Van Outen is set to star in a new weight loss online documentary, 'Losing Weight: My Journey,' which features four women as they shift to a healthy lifestyle and increase their exercise routine in 12 weeks.

The show aims to support and inspire women who struggle with weight issues.

Denise according to Reveal said, "The ladies have each been on the most incredible journeys in such a short space of time and it's not been easy. There have been work trips, holidays, 40th Birthday celebrations and dinner parties along the way to tackle."

"I hope this series will inspire the nation and motivate others to make simple changes for a healthier life," she added.
