Kate Middleton is among the public figures most women look up to when it comes to fashion and style. However, her recent hairstyle didn't seem to win much of her fan's approval.
The Duchess of Cambridge just recently returned to her royal duties. Apparently, her public appearances surprised many people when she debuted her new bangs.
She was first spotted rocking her new hairstyle at the Crathie Kirk in Scotland with Prince William. Then she showed up in various events, including 2015 Rugby World Cup and last week to a women's prison in Surrey.
Although many were pleased to see her again doing her royal duties, her latest look didn't escape criticism. Her bangs actually received some backlash and now sources claimed that Middleton is mortified over the negative attention she's been receiving.
"Kate is quite mortified by all the fuss people have been making. She wanted to freshen up her look, so she got some bangs. But like many women who make that decision, she quickly regretted it! Luckily, she has healthy hair that grows very fast," the source said to OK! Magazine, via Closer Weekly.
Apparently Middleton didn't ask for an expert advice before cutting her hair. The source said that Kate decided on her own but now after receiving some negative reactions, she is said to be regretting the new bangs.
"She really should have consulted a stylist before her first appearance," the insider went on to add. "She knows [her new hair] wasn't well received," the source said.
The report further added that Kate is looking forward to get back on track with her look as she "doesn't want to reflect poorly on the royal family."
A report from TV Guide said "Middleton is an adult and mother of two who can do whatever she wants with her hair. That said, these aren't necessarily her best look." Suggesting that she could have done better with her choice.
