Need coffee? Well, now you can order your regular dose of caffeine just by using your mobile phone through Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay feature that started on September 22 in almost 7,500 shops in America. Venture Capital Post reported this progress of the giant coffee company that has won millions of customers around the globe.
Reuters said that the company even exceeded their goal in achieving this kind of payment feature ahead of three months than they originally planned. More of its branches would have this new online service soon and that will be around 3,400 of them. These shops would be in big cities like New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Chicago and even in Boston.
Instead of people having to wait long hours standing in line in their stores, Tech Crunch said that this new system would even bring more convenience to their loyal customers. The navigation is easy since it is a touch-based program that will make it easy for customers to buy their food and drinks simply by using the app. This app can automatically designate the store near the purchaser or the customer can also choose whichever store he or she will prefer. A Starbucks card can be used as a mode of payment. Customers can easily reload this card as well.
It was in Portland, Oregon that this feature first started back in December of last year. Since then, Venture Beat reported that this was already being done in all of America. The giant coffee company also made an announcement that this app will be available for their customers in the UK and Canada on October of this year.
This idea came in way back in 2012 from a shop in San Francisco that is owned by Starbucks. The store is called La Boulange. Now, it is looking like we can finally say, there is an app for everything.
