Kanye West Does More Community Service Than Required with Glowing Review to Fulfill Plea Deal

Kanye West has more than completed the court ordered community service imposed in his paparazzi battery case.

West completed the required 250 hours handed down by an LA judge in the fashion design program at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College. In fact, Kanye completed more hours than he was required, he ultimately did 262 hours of service.

On Tuesday, at the hearing, his lawyer Blair Berk presented a letter from the college's Dean praising West for his contributions to the higher education institution, according to TMZ.

The letter reads, "The contribution of the hands-on community service Mr. West has completed with our school has been of great benefit to our students and program"

West reportedly didn't show up to the hearing as he was with wife Kim in New York at the time.

The altercation between West and the photographer, who is identified as Daniel Ramos, happened in July 2013.

In 2014, West was sentenced to two years of probation, which included a requirement to complete 250 hours of community service and anger management counseling, after he pleaded "no contest" to misdemeanor battery.

Earlier this year, Ramos dropped his lawsuit against the rapper. His lawyer said that there is no need to bring the matter to court. However, they refused to discuss the details of the settlement between the two parties, abc reported.

"We filed a dismissal because the case was settled to the satisfaction of the parties," says Ramos's attorney, Gloria Allred. "We cannot discuss the details of the settlement, except to say that one important aspect of it was an apology by Kanye West to our client, Daniel Ramos."

Though West completed more than the required number of hours, he still remains on probation until next year. He is safe from any charges as long as he maintains his good behavior til the end of March 2016.
