Microsoft has released a fix for Windows 10 after receiving reports from users about the reboot loop issues with one of its update. The patch called KB3081424 which was available last week caused many devices to restart over and over again.
The update is intended to collect series of smaller updates into one bigger patch for the new operating system to help users update their system easier and simpler. Ironically, the patch was the one which received another one after the users voiced out their concerns on a Microsoft support forum.
One of the users stated that, "It downloads, reboot to install. Gets to 30% and reboots. Gets to 59% and reboots. Gets to 59% again and then states something went wrong so uninstalling the update. Wait a few minutes and reboot. Back to login screen. This happens without fail, every single time."
Another user voiced out his problem on Twitter.

Windows 10 automatically updates the users' devices when not in use. Users cannot decline to install any update the Microsoft releases. This mandatory policy which is not applied on Windows 8 is viewed by many users as a problem.
Due to the mandatory update, the KB3081424 update repeats the process of installing the update every time it fails. The devices continually reboots to attempt to install it in order meet the policy.
Microsoft designed the automatic update to make all devices running on Windows 10 be updated. It is part of the company's safety measures to stop users from avoiding security patches. The tech company believes that an outdated computer is not safe for the user and for the devices it gets connected to.
However, many critics view the policy as an impractical move. The company has not given the users the freedom to select the updates they want for their devices.
