Windows 10 IoT: Microsoft Anticipates Increase In Revenue With New Venture

Alongside the release of Windows 10, Advantech announced its support to the 'Internet of Things' of the new operating system of Microsoft. The Windows 10 IoT will be supporting brilliant tools ranging from mobile point-of-sale units or gateways to industrial robots and other equipment embedded with artificial intelligence.

The Windows 10 IoT could give Microsoft a fair battle in having great revenues with mobility. In fact, Cisco anticipated in 2014 that the company's profit will increase to billions by 2020.

Windows 10 IoT will offer enterprise-level shield from malicious attacks and is paired with machine-to-machine or cloud connectivity through Azure IoT services. As a unified offer with Windows 10 IoT, Azure IoT Suite allows connection of gadgets and tools, holds generated data, and manages the flow. It also analyzes and converts data into a convenient and profitable information.

Azure IoT Suite remains an option whether it could be cost-effective and beneficial to a system or institution. Among its contribution to the organizations could be management of assets, remote monitoring, and forecasting maintenance.

Cisco estimated additional 50 billion devices will be linked to the web by the targeted year which was considered by some as rational since a Juniper Research projected that there will be about 38.5 billion IoT in 2020. At the present time, the world has an interlaced web of around eight billion smart phones which could drastically increase to a foreseen number after five years.

However, the collection of big data from these connected gadgets and their analysis and control become the primary issue of Internet of Things, rather than on their state of being linked together.

The 10 year of existence of Machine-to-machine or M2M devices aided in the automated performance of factory appliances, city sensors and as well as in security. Outside the design of the said systems are the collection and analysis of data which were not incorporated with their basic functions.
