Zayn Malik Called Off The Engagement Via "Text Message"

Zayn Malik broke up with his ex-fiancée of two years, Perrie Edwards, through text and reportedly hasn't been in touch with her since then.

The former One Direction member reportedly called off the engagement by sending a text message to Little Mix star more than two weeks ago. After the message was sent the two haven't spoken since, according to TVNZ.

"It's unbelievable, he's an immature little boy with no thought for anyone else's feelings." A source dished to the Sun newspaper. "Perrie is one of the sweetest girls in the world and she's stood by him through thick and thin."

"But he ended their engagement with one text message and in the two weeks since there's been complete radio silence between them. Who does that?"

The source added that the heartbroken singer is "devastated" but trying her best to publicly look brave.

The source said, "She's devastated, which everyone understands, but is doing her best to focus on work and to put on a brave face in public."

It was 2013 when the ex-couple got engaged after one year of dating. After the split, the two are reportedly trying to figure out what to do with their $7.2 million newly bought house.

The source revealed to the tabloid, "This was the house where Perrie expected to marry Zayn and act as his wife for the rest of their lives. It was their dream home and he went through with the purchase only a few weeks ago. They bought the house from a Premier League footballer and both loved it."

"It's understandable that Perrie feels confused and led on. He must have already been having doubts about the relationship. This was a very serious, major financial purchase. She thought Zayn was committing to their long-term future."

Recently, Edwards appeared on E! alongside with her band mate. When she was asked how she was doing after the split, she replied with a smile on her face, "I'm good, thank you"
