Acer To Release New Notebooks With Free Windows 10

Microsoft's low-end laptops with the free operating system installed such as Google Chromebook has been racking Microsoft Windows PCs from their calm disposition. The expensive OS of the latter majorly makes tech buddies go hunt for usable gadgets with cheaper or even free software. Because of this, Microsoft has to cut its dollar-edged sales.

Microsoft now finally wants to have a fist-to-fist fight with Google's free operating system by affiliating with the electronics company Acer. The Taiwanese company announced that it is releasing its newest 'Cloudbook' which comes with the latest Windows 10 OS, but now for free instead of selling it as a separate product to computer companies or personal users.

The name is coined after its connectivity to the cloud, like Microsoft Office 365, which is being offered free for a year of subscription. It includes OneDrive where users can save and retrieve files, allowing more limited storage space in its specs to make it look sleek, and other Acer apps hosted in its cloud services.

Dual Core Intel Celeron N3050 has the mind of the Cloudbook with speed of 1.6Ghz that can be clocked up to 2.16GH by using Turbo Boost Technology. It also comes with 2Gb of RAM. LED displays the output with the ratio of 16:9 and a resolution of 1,366px by 768px.

Users are not limited to storing in OneDrive cloud when physical memory, which comes either configured in 16Gb or 32Gb for Cloudbook 11 and 32Gb or 64Gb for Cloudbook 14, gets full, but they may insert eMMC memory cards.

The company revealed that it is determined to showcase the Cloudbook this month. The upcoming device comes in variants of 14-inch and handier 11-inch notebooks weighing 3.5 pounds and 2.5 pounds respectively. The company hints to sell this newly crafted Aspire One from $169.99 only. The specs though would limit future owners to fundamental functions of the gear.
