Everyone ought to have a good meal now and then, and everyone ought to have a friend in their corner like the WWE's Titus O'Neil. The wrestler decided to treat a couple homeless people to a good meal in San Diego on Friday, but said that he received a "distant" reception from the manager at the Yardhouse restaurant.
The pope is a huge advocate for the poor and homeless so he'd no doubt give his blessing to what O'Neil - whose real name is Thaddeus Bullard - did this weekend. That's because O'Neil/Bullard, who played at the University of Florida under Steve Spurrier before going on to a career in the Arena Football League, took homeless people out to dinner not once, but twice.
On Friday, he took two homeless people to dinner at the Yardhouse in San Diego and was unhappy with how they were treated. So on Saturday - channeling his inner-pope - he gathered an even larger group of homeless men and women and took them back to the same restaurant. This time, the group had a nice lunch and O'Neil posted the following message on Instagram:
Completely Different Response than Last night at the @Yardhouse in San Diego I'm Not a Fan of Injustice or Prejudice of any sort towards Anybody. My Mother Raised Me with the Help of many others from all walks of life and there were many Times that I had to go without as a youth because of A Lack of Financial resources.
People will categorize those that they can't relate to criticize those that stand up and speak out against what's wrong all until it directly affects them. I'm not the richest man in the world, but Money,Fame and Status have never held me Bondage because at the end of the day I've Gone without before and God has always provided for me. Now I have the opportunity to do the exact thing that others did for me when I had nothing to give them in return....LOVE OTHERS!!! Thanks to those that accepted Help&Those that Treated my guest at lunch as Humans,Patrons and Gods People
