Maddox Jolie Pitt's 14th Birthday: A Charity Turn Over

It's been 14 years since the Hollywood couple adopted their eldest son, Maddox Jolie Pitt in Cambodia in 2012, and today's he's celebrating his 14th birthday, although no specific details were given regarding the celebration on Hollywood Life.

India.com, however, dished out Angelina's plan for her son on his special day, as she requires Maddox to be the researcher for her upcoming Netflix film (First they Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers) in which the story would revolve around the Cambodia's Khemer Rouge communist regime, in which 1.7 million civilians died in the 1970's. Maddox is requested on set every day after school and should help out behind the scenes.

She then stated that her son would soon take over the Maddox Jolie-Pitt foundation which was set up 12 years ago, for Cambodian families that are struggling with poverty in the region and to help preserve the remarkable habitat and wild life for the future generation.

Angelina Jolie then made a statement regarding her son's charity turn over:

"Maddox is already involved in the Foundation and will take over my role when he is older. "As Maddox and I prepare the film we will be side by side learning about his country. He is turning 14 next week and this is a very important time for him to understand who he is. He is my son but he is also a son of Cambodia."

Jolie then made a statement regarding the film, as she still has a deep connection with Cambodia, the country where her 1st son came from.

"This is the time for our family to understand all that that means to him and to us. My desire to tell this story in the most truthful and accurate way possible will be my tribute to the strength and dignity of all Cambodian people. I want to respect its history and bring a film to the world that will not only show the hardships of war but the dignity and resilience of a people I deeply respect."
