Celine Dion remains strong because of her "spiritual" belief as her husband battle's with throat cancer.
The singer's spouse, René Angélil, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998, the 73 year old managed to recover from the illness. But in 2013, he contracted the illness for a second time, Echo reports.
With René's battle with the illness, Celine's spiritual belief keeps her strong for her family. She admits that life is not perfect but eventually as times get tough, you have no choice but to deal with it.
Celine told the Taste of Life Magazine, "Life is not always perfect. You have to deal with it. Whatever life imposes - sickness, or whatever, you don't have a choice. This is life, this is nature. But you do have the choice on how you're going to go through this. And if you don't have spirituality you're going to fall apart before things happen."
As the couple faces the challenges in their life, Celine always thinks positive and keeps her spiritual faith to teach her three children "how to be strong."
She said, "I am very spiritual. I believe in myself, I believe in my family, and I'm positive. Through this, you show your children how to deal with things, and how to be strong."
After her long absence from the music industry, Celine is scheduled to perform on August 27. As she is due to return on stage, the 'My Heart Will Go On' hit maker admits that her return will be dedicated to her husband.
"We are back (in action). We are still together and stronger than ever. René is a champion. I loved him all my life. I don't want to sound pretentious, but I am his favourite singer and he wants to see me back on the stage singing again!"
