Microsoft has revealed to its gaming fans a new way to unlock the entire 'Gears of War' collection for Xbox One. Gamers who obtained a copy of the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition or the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle for the Xbox One can unlock more games by playing it on Xbox Live starting from August 25 to December 31, 2015.
Those who can successfully unlock Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment will have the chance to access the upcoming games when it officially launches this fall.
Gamers will have the opportunity to completely remaster the the original game version Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Players can experience the stunning next-gen graphics of the title including the recaptured and rebuilt cinematics. The gameplay is also modernized to enhance the gaming experience.
In addition, new modes and missions are also available with new maps. Gaming fans can have an early access to the multiplayer beta of Gears of War 4. The improved haptic feedback and new Achievements will add excitement to the game. The company has also included additional difficulty level for advanced gamers.
However, the other Gears of War games will not receive the same treatment. On the positive side, gamers can still play them on Xbox One.
The third-person shooter game franchise is one of the all-time favorite of gaming fans all over the world. All titles of Gears will be supported by the Backward Compatibility of Xbox One. Regardless of the Xbox console the games are on, players can still keep all the previously saved files on Xbox Live including game add-ons and achievements.
Gamers can recall that Capcom has also used the same method for post-launch contents of the highly anticipated fighting video game Street Fighter V. Like Microsoft, the game developer allow gamers to get updates, upgrades and other downloadable items by simply playing the game.
