W 3D Smartphone: The Future Of Mobile Gaming

Snail Games' W 3D smartphones came out at the top over the others with its integration of an Android handset that gives a solid gaming experience, with a glasses-free 3D display at CES 2015.

China doubted that the W 3D would ever reach U.S., but now the Americans finally get their chance to enjoy the new technology for smartphone.

There will be a limited number of units that would be supplied in the U.S. during the first release. The W 3D, which costs $399, is unlocked for GSM and CDMA networks and will eventually work with 4G LTE. The phone also has dual SIM card slots where the user could store both T-Mobile and Verizon SIM cards for ease.

According to Toms Guide, W 3D's display was very impressive, delivering stunning color and detail.

"At this week's E3 Expo, I watched the 3D version of Avatar on the phone, and while the effect was slight at times, I never lost any sharpness or hue. The W 3D will have the ability to add the 3D effect to any movies or games in the Google Play store - provided the 3D was built into the media," he explained.

At first look, the W 3D's 5.5-inch display is quite normal for a smartphone screen but the device's interface shows that the screen has 1920x1080-pixel display, which delivers an accurate, rapid response along with vibrant color and great detail.

The implementation of a Liquid Crystal Lens, which is usually found in an infrared camera, provides eye-tracking. This means that W 3D is able to display a glasses-free 3D effect for real while taking into account the person's viewing angle.

The device features an Android (KitKat) setup, a 2.2 GHz octa-core Media Tek 6595 processor with a 2GB of RAM and a 16GB built-in storage. The storage could be expanded to 64 GB with micro SDXC card.
