Ed Sheeran revealed how he once helped his childhood friend Amy Wadge to pay off her mortgage.
The 24 year old music crooner revealed that his good friend, Amy Wadge once came to him and asked for help as she could no longer afford her mortgage.
"She was going through financial troubles about a year ago," Sheeran revealed to Mirror.
Since they are super good friends and he really wants to help her, Ed invited Amy to contribute lyrics for his second studio album, 'X.' The singer explained, "She drove to my house - my album was nearly done - and she asked if I could put a song from when I was 17 on the deluxe album, so she could get a little bit of money and pay the mortgage and bills and stuff."
What happened next was totally astonishing as both talented composers came up with one of the record's most popular songs, 'Thinking Out Loud,' now she never has to worry about money again," Sheeran added.
Amy has since been writing for Ben Haenow and Geri Horner and just recently, she bought her new wheels as per Perez Hilton.
As for Ed, Amy's success was a fulfilling and rewarding, "She's got a family and two kids and stuff and every time I speak to her, she's going on holiday. It's really nice to see." He said, "It wouldn't have happened if she hadn't come down from Wales to see me."
Ed Sheeran's soft spot for the people who are seeking help isn't surprising as he previously revealed that before he became famous he once had a rough life. Back in 2007, he tried sleeping on Central Line and outside Buckingham Palace while trying to make it to the music industry. For two and a half years, he was a wanderer, trying to find a place to stay as well as a successful career.
