Janet Jackson Tour: Michael Jackson’s Sister Isn't ‘Unbreakable,’ Postpones 4 More Shows Over Vocal Strain

For the first time in nearly a decade, Michael Jackson's younger sister has released an original album and a Janet Jackson tour to pair it with, "Unbreakable," which has been getting rave reviews for the past few weeks, as the pop icon continues to be fantastic on stage - but that doesn't make her resistant to illness.

Right in the middle of Janet Jackson's tour, as she was about to reach Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City and St. Louis due to doctor's orders, as she was advised to rest over strained vocal cords during her "Unbreakable" tour.

According to USA Today, the first Janet Jackson tour dates that were postponed (as the singer insists to fans that they keep their tickets, as they'll be honored at a later and unspecified date) were Salt Lake City last Saturday and then Denver on Sunday, as Jackson took to Twitter to say she'd been ordered voice rest for a couple of days.

NME reports that following the postponement of those two Janet Jackson tour dates, the star later took to Twitter again on Sunday to announce she'd be missing two more dates, on Kansas City and St. Louis, but would be back to resume her tour later this week.

In early October, the Las Vegas Janet Jackson tour date had to be canceled as well, when the "Rhythm Nation" singer had to back down from the scheduled concert also due to vocal strain - as it's been an ongoing situation in the past month, could there be something seriously wrong with Janet's vocal cords?

According to The Daily Mail, that's not the only issue the Jackson megastar has had to deal with recently, as her father, Joe, suffered a stroke last August while visiting Brazil, which prompted Janet to fly over to his side.

Janet Jackson's tour will resume in Omaha next Friday.
