Jimmy Fallon Rushed To The Hospital After Injuring Hand During Award Celebration At Harvard

Even celebrities have bad days, too, Just like Jimmy Fallon, who actually didn't expect to have another trip to the hospital over the weekend.

The 41-year old comedian-actor, popularly known as the host of the late night talk show 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', was unfortunately rushed to the Massachusetts General Hospital on Saturday evening, October 24, after he accidentally took a tumble while in Cambridge, where he was honored to receive the 'Harvard Lampoon's Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor' at the Harvard University, E! Online reported.

"It was all part of the celebration in the street and some random girl kneeled down in front of him abruptly as he was turning around and he tripped over her because he didn't see her." the source said.

One parade-goer added, "Jimmy went to the ground, and everybody asked if he was OK. He said he was fine."

During the incident, the TV host was reportedly holding a bottle of Jaegermeister when he tripped and injured one finger from his right hand.

The reports added that while the Cambridge authorities were able to assist him after he tripped, Fallon took the initiative and drove his limo to the hospital, just five minutes after the incident.

"A guy and a guy got out of the limo, and went in before him for like five minutes," one onlooker said. "They came out, waved to the car, Jimmy got out, and they all walked into Mass General."

Upon arriving at the hospital, Fallon immediately got his injured finger covered with a bandage and he later returned to the venue to party with the Lampooners.

Reports say that the finger injury was not his first time as he was also engaged in the same accident four months ago, where he nearly lost one finger from his left hand after he accidentally fell and trapped his ring on a countertop.

The funny guy, who seems to have remained in his good temper despite the incident, shared a snapshot of his bandaged hand on his Instagram page and captioned it, "Nothing that a few band aids couldn't fix."
