Mariah's recent snap shots and recent stage appearances showed that she has lost a lot of weight. Everyone has been buzzing about her dramatic weight loss. To make everybody go more gaga, Carey performed on stage at the Beacon Theatre in New York on Tuesday with her slimmed down physique.

There were multiple costume changes, each gown perfectly highlighted her slimmed down waist, thighs and neckline. Many viewers can't stop themselves from noticing Mariah's successful weight loss. As per Mail Online, while on stage, the singer "appeared to have lost some weight from her face and thighs, and her shapely figure was displayed to maximum effect in the colourful gowns."

However, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, behind Mariah's weight loss is a drastic measure. The publication said that over the summer, there were rumors floating around that Carey is planning on getting a surgery to lose weight.

CDL alleged that Mariah might have underwent to gastric bypass surgery just like her billionaire hubby, James Packer, adding, "It's no secret that Mariah Carey's boyfriend had gastric bypass surgery and used to be MUCH larger." The site said that the singer might have went under the knife as she was amazed by the miracles it had done to her boyfriend.

The media outlet further stated, "The fact that Mariah has lost that much weight that quickly after years of struggling with her diet could be a good indicator that she took the plunge and went under the knife as well."

Contrary to CDL's report, Mariah "slimmed down with a portion-controlled diet and water workouts," as per Examiner. The publication said that Carey started eating less after she was "disgusted" with her image at her heavies. After embarking herself to a strict diet, the singer managed to lost her 45 pounds in just a short period of time.

Mariah is yet to comment about the latest buzz.
