Hunger Games Prequels may just be a possibility. This according to the studio boss behind The Hunger Games franchise who has implied to avid fans that the possibility of expanding the film series could be at hand.

In this week's UBS Global Media and Communications Conference in New York,
Burns made the revelation of a possibility of a prequel production saying that the Hunger Games Series "will live on and on" and he even compared the series to that of Harry Potter.
"The one thing that kids say they missed (from the early Hunger Games films) was there was no arenas," he said. "If we went backwards there obviously would be arenas."
According to Hollywood Reporter, Burns expressed his disappointment on the result of the fourth installment of the movie franchise as it has failed to measure up to the success of the previous three Hunger Games installments and addressed that it was a "high class problem" to have.
Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 had a remarkable $101 million ((£67.3 million) opening during the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend from November 27-29. Last year the Mockingjay Part 1 grossed $121.9 million (£81.3 million) on the first weekend on it's release in the North American market. Still it's mark on the international box office is undeniably impressive as it grossed over $524 million (£349.3 million).
Burns has also disclosed during the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference, that the top honchos of Lionsgate are eyeing to go the extra mile with it's other big franchises such as The Expendables, Saw and Twilight and did not elaborate further.
