Patricia Arquette Struggled as a Single Mom

The American Actress opens up about how much she struggled as a single mom.

Patricia Arquette, the independent coming-of-the-age drama film "Boyhood" actress who received tons of appreciation and commendation for her great portrayal of Olivia Evans in the film that was a major success during 2002, said that her impressive portrayal of the character came from her own experiences when she was raising her first born Enzo that she had in the year 1989 with Paul Rossi.

The actress said that she had Enzo during her 20's. She admits that she was struggling a lot during those years. Talking about her financial issues, the actress may have found it hard to provide supplies for her son in which she said that she wasn't even sure if she could afford to buy him diapers and food.

Olivia Evans, the woman that she played in the movie "boyhood", in the movie Olivia is a single mom, trying to raise her two kids. Supporting and feeding her two kids was a major struggle for her since she's still on a mission to complete her degree in the University of Houston and despite of all the issues, she still managed to give them a comfortable life.

Patricia Arquette compared her real life struggle with Olivia, where she had struggled a lot in giving a comfortable life for her son and for herself as well, where she admits that she knows how it feels, where she had to move her kids a lot while she studies and be a breadwinner all in the same time. "How was she going to do all that?" She said.

The 47-year-old actress who also has a daughter who is now 12 years old, also talked about women and their rights, she mentioned about how the demographics in America has changed over the years.  She showed her concern about the fact that there are only 30 percent of families living in the traditional 'dad is the breadwinner and mom stays at home" model.
