Avril Lavigne updated her fans of her Lyme disease via instagram.
After 5 months of being bed-ridden before discovering that she had Lyme disease, (a disease that is caused by a tick bite that can lead to swelling of joints that result to rashes and unbearable pain of joints and fatigue) and another few months to partially recover, the "Complicated" singer once opened up about her battle against the disease on a show where she got a little too emotional just thinking about what she had gone through.
Recently, she updated her fans via Instagram about her battle against the disease in which she uploaded a photo and wrote a caption about her overcoming the disease and having to see her Doctor smile at her and tell her that her healing progress is going better than it was ever before. The photo that she uploaded was a photo of her lying on a bed in a medical center with a professional checking her arm, with the hashtags #Fighter #F**kLymeDisease.
She then followed it with a selfie with a caption "FIGHT and CONQUER!!!!!!! #F**kLymeDisease (sic)"
After being diagnosed, she opened up about her disease, she said that being bed-ridden was already hard enough for her but that wasn't just it. She could barely talk and move a muscle, she said that she even had to go full week without taking a shower because she couldn't move anything from her body, "It felt like having all your life sucked out of you", she stated.
The "sk8tr boi" singer first revealed that she has Lyme disease on April 15 and talked about it in Good Morning America on June 15 where she also stated that she was in Las Vegas when the symptoms were attacking her and she had the symptoms checked in some of the most known specialists and doctors in Las Vegas but all they ever said made it look like she's depressed or going crazy even though she knows well that she's not
