The football superstar who played for several teams including Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan and LA Galaxy - David Beckham, will be a principal performer in the documentary film "David Beckham: For the Love of the Game," which has been commissioned by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The documentary film will feature David Beckham play soccer in seven continents.
The 90-minute "David Beckham: For the Love of the Game" film, showcases the journey of David Beckham to the immense cultural and biological diversity of Papua New Guinea, the foothills of Nepal, the European atmosphere of Buenos Aires, the desert plains of Djibouti, the colorful art deco buildings, white sand and trendsetting nightclubs of Miami and the frozen wastelands of Antarctica - where David Beckham will play the sport with local people, and acquire knowledge about their lives. David Beckham will be accompanied by his childhood friend Dave Gardner.
In "David Beckham: For the Love of the Game" - David Beckham and Dave Gardner will travel through the lives of those who make a forceful effort to make a living in environments that present a daily challenge, as well as those individuals who get to live the dream when they make it to the big leagues.
David Beckham and Dave Gardner's journey came to an end at Old Trafford, the home ground of David Beckham's former football club - Manchester United, where Beckham plays his final game with a host of famous soccer players to bid goodbye to the game.
The retired professional footballer said, "Whether as a person taking part in a sport or out in the field for UNICEF and other charitable collaborator, I have seen the transformational bring about that sport, and in particular football, has on people's lives. This epic journey will give me the necessary opportunity to show the positive side of the game I love and shine a light on the strong emotion and selflessness of people that play this sport as a force for good."
