Is Spider-Man getting beat up on the set of 'Captain America: Civil War?'
Tom Holland, who was recently announced to be the new Peter Parker, has just attended the premiere of Ed Sheeran's movie 'Jumpers for Goalposts' with a very notable scratch on his nose. When HeyU Guys asked the young actor if there was any violence happening on the 'Captain America: Civil War' set, he was quick to explain that it was all just an accident.
"No, no violence," Holland said. "It was my own mistake. I basically fell over and bashed my face in front of about two hundred crew members, so not my most heroic moment! It was luckily just before my last shot; they were like, 'Roll cameras!' and I was getting into position. Everything went wrong, and they still did the take anyway. It looks great and they'll probably just CGI out all the blood, and yeah, I was very lucky."
Being the third Peter Parker in recent cinematic history, it would be expected that Tom Holland would want to stand apart from the previous Spider-Mans Tobey Maguire and Andrew Lincoln. However, the 19-year-old 'The Impossible' star admitted he will be taking some inspiration from his predecessors.
"I think it's impossible not to," Holland said. "They were so great and gave such real and rich performances. There's obviously factors that I love, and will try to continue and recreate. But I think the most important thing at the moment is making a film, which is obviously of the same character, but make a different, new and exciting movie."
Tom Holland will be making his debut as Peter Parker in the Marvel flick 'Captain America: Civil War' before starring in his own standalone 'Spider-Man' film, which will also feature Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. The film is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017.
