Telltale Games has just announced that their Game of Thrones - Iron From Ice game is now available for free. The first episode of the game series can now be experienced and downloaded on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android platforms.

The American independent digital developer with the help of the HBO Global is now making the first episode of its 'Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series' free to be acquired in most of the platforms including mobile devices and consoles.

The game series is traditionally sold for $5 per episode. With the first episode now made free, avid fans are expected to grow more.

The first episode 'Iron From Ice' is said to be a successful. According to some video game critiques, it allows the players to actually experience the world of fantasy which they used to spectate only in the Game of Thrones TV series. As what Cersei Lannister stated, playing the game does not involve "middle ground" and will only result into winning or dying.

On the other hand, Telltale also announced the launching of their final episode, 'The Ice Dragon' this coming November 17. The sixth episode which will be the finale of the season will be available for download in any platform but will no longer be offered as free.

The storyline of Telltale's 'Game of Thrones' series is primarily based on HBO's hit fantasy drama. The main character includes the bloodline of House Forrester from the north of Westeros which is involved in a conflict called 'The War of the Five Kings'.

The main concept of the game is to preserve and protect the name of the House Forrester no matter what the cost.

One of the most exciting part in playing the 'Game of Thrones' game is that player can chit chat with other recognized characters in the game which was voiced by the real actors and actresses in the TV series.
