Bethesda Releases Updates For 'Fallout Shelter' [WATCH]

Bethesda has just released a new update for their mobile Fallout game called Fallout Shelter. The updated free-to-play game will be introducing a new game mode and a free Fallout 4 character for players using iOS.

In the trailer released by the gaming company, it can be observed that the updated version introduces a new game mode called Survival mode. Although the video did not reveal further description, it seems that the additional mode has a tougher scenery.

The trailer for the new update can be seen below.

The description from Bethesda however, will certainly give the players idea on what to expect on the new game mode.

"Faced all the challenges the 'normal' Vault simulation can provide? Introducing Survival Mode! More danger, More glory. Make Vault-Tec proud!" as what the American video game publisher wrote.

The new patch will now allow players to loot fallen opponents, skip the tutorial info, as well as encounter the Mysterious Stranger character. Players will also be rewarded with caps whenever an enemy is spotted in the Vault of the user unlike the former Fallout game that blasts the foes in a stylish way. A new statistic page in the Vault Dweller's Survival guide is also added.

For those who play using an iOS version of the game, a new feature will be offered. The iOS users can avail an exclusive offer which will make them have a free character from Fallout 4 named Piper. Five free lunchboxes will also be incorporated together with the character.

Other new features include new Vault-Tec networks protocol, a support added for Russian-speaking Overseers and a continued general maintenance to the Vault simulation.

On the other hand, the new updated version also offer features that are not quite advantageous. Wasteland explorers will now have a very low cap, from thirty down to ten. This is considered as a major drawback for players who are stuck together with many dwellers. Bethesda has not yet responded to the said complaints.
