As the official release of Halo 5: Guardians is fast approaching, Microsoft together with the 343 Industries have revealed some fresh features and game play of the highly anticipated videogame, including its new multiplayer ranking system.
The latest sequel of Halo is one of the most awaited game by many gaming enthusiasts. Many have said that Halo 5: Guardians will be considered as the best game in the history of Halo franchise. As the preparation continues, Microsoft along with its game developer are working together to prove that Halo 5 will be one of the best game that will be released ever.
In Halo's official website, details about the most awaited Arena Multiplayer system was revealed by the videogame's Multiplayer Design Director Kevin Franklin and Multiplayer designers Max Grossman and Quinn DelHoyo.
According to the report by JoshingtonState, the Arena will be a place in which players can battle against each other with the use of their different skills and abilities. The said gameplay will incorporate the use of "Competitive Skill Rating" (CSR), to make sure that even playing field will be implemented.
CSR will also be used to determine a certain player's match opponent. Initial ranking will be given to a player after the completion of 10 matches. The starting rank will be based on the player's relative skill and can be improved only by winning matches.
On the other hand, 343 Industries said in a statement that they will be implementing sanctions for those players who tend to quit matches, disconnects always, idling, and those who promote team killing and intentional suicides.
"If you repeatedly engage in negative behaviors such as the ones listed above, you will receive a ban and be prevented from entering matchmaking," stated by the game developer.
Microsoft's Halo: 5 Guardians will be officially released this coming October 27, 2015 and will be available only in Xbox One.
