Filming the upcoming drama film "By the Sea" was an emotional roller coaster for the actor with three Academy Award nominations Brad Pitt and his wife American actress and filmmaker Angelina Jolie.
In "By the Sea", Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt portray a husband and wife, Vanessa and Roland, whose marriage collapses as they travel through France in the 1970s. Angelina Jolie wrote and directed the film, which is slated to hit theaters on November 13.
Angelina said in a statement, "When I did the writing of the script of the movie, I never concluded we'd actually do it, so I wrote with a certain kind of freedom," "Everybody knows that there's never just the disaster of life or the quality of being amusing of life or pure joy of life."
Jolie added, "Relationships have those either of two abstract things that are as different from each other. You can absolutely madly have an intense feeling of deep affection for the person you want to kill... I was so fortunate and convenient that he was eager to try this."
Brad Pitt chimed that, "We can experiment and play, and it's strangely a safer domain than any set I've been on before, so we let loose!"
American actor and producer Brad Pitt was forced to shoot the movie, as it reflects his own marriage. Brad Pitt said that it's the bewilderment of figuring out those stuff that gets you on the path of really loving a person. A lot of it was in the past and in your own insecurities.
In addition, 40 year old Jolie and 51 year old Pitt, who have six children - 14 year old Maddox, Pax - whose 11, the 10 year old Zahara, 9 year old Shiloh, and the couple's twins Knox and Vivienne 7 year old - are reportedly in the middle of adopting an orphan from Syria.
