Eddie Murphy Net Worth: 'Beverly Hills Cop' Star Jokes on Stage After 28 Years - Find Out What He Said About Bill Cosby! [VIDEO]

Eddie Murphy has long been absent in the stand-up comedy scene. But as he stepped onto the stage for a performance - his first in 28 years - Eddie Murphy proved that he's still got game.

The 54-year-old actor and comedian received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor award at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. on Sunday night.

Back in 2009, Bill Cosby accepted the same award, and in light of the recent scandals and allegations against the "Cosby Show" actor, Eddie Murphy decided to jump on that train.

"Who else has one of these? Oh! Bill has one of these. Did you all make him give it back?" Eddie Murphy jokingly asked. "You know you f-ked up when they want you to give your trophy back."

Eddie Murphy didn't stop there. He even did a perfect impression of Bill Cosby, complete with his signature voice: "You may have heard recently that I allegedly put the pill in the people's stomach. [...] if I ever see or meet this Hannibal Buress in person I am going to try and kill this man!"

Buress is a stand-up comedian who instantly went viral after poking fun at Bill Cosby's scandals, in addition to re-igniting the public's awareness on the rape and sexual assault allegations about the disgraced "Cosby" star.

It seems as though several fellow comedians enjoyed Eddie Murphy's foray back into standup comedy. "

Entertainment Tonight reports:

"'I like his stand-up,' Kathy Griffin told ET, before recalling the time 'when Bill Cosby chastised him for being vulgar, Richard Pryor told him to tell Bill to shut the f-k up, and as a stand-up, I love that story.'

"'If I were Lebron James, he would be Michael Jordan, Richard Pryor was the first,' Dave Chappelle told ET of his and Murphy's place in comedy history."

The "Eddie Murphy: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize" airs on PBS stations on November 23 at 9/8c.

Eddie Murphy net worth is $85 million
