Willie Nelson Health: Singer's Son Insists Legend's Health Issues Are "Minor"

Willie Nelson's son, Lukas Nelson has put the worries of the fans at ease after he announced that his father is doing just fine.

Willie Nelson's son said that the health crisis that caused the cancellation of the three 2015 Django and Jimmie Tour dates with Merle Haggard is "minor" and insisted that his father is currently recovering.

On Wednesday, on his Facebook page, Lukas posted a family photo, featuring Willie Nelson, his wife Annie, Lukas and his brother, Micah Nelson, on a tour bus. In a second post he wrote, "In other news, thanks for the prayers and love for Dad. His health issue is minor, and he's doing great. Love to all ..."

Nelson pushed back the first dates of his joint trek with Merle Haggard due to an unknown health problem. The duo were expected to begin their tour on Thursday in Florence, S.C., but the show has now been rescheduled to April 6 next year. The announcement of the postponement sparked concern among the country singer's fans.

"This is all news to us at the moment and we're still getting details on Willie's medical concern," the note reads from Nick Hooker, Senior Marketing Manager for the venue. "We've been told this is not life-threatening, but will require several weeks to fully recover. We will keep you updated as more information comes to light."

According to Taste of Country, refunds for Nelson's concert on Saturday in Reading, PA are available while Friday's show in Roanoke, VA , is rescheduled for Monday. Original tickets will be honored for the new scheduled dates.

As we previously reported, this is not the first time the country singer cancelled a tour date due to health issues. Back in 2012, he was rushed to a hospital after saying that he couldn't breathe.

No additional details have been released from Nelson's family.
