While there's no doubt about the Kardashians' popularity and how big their names are in the world of television, they simply could not please everybody.
The latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine shows the Kardashian family on the cover alongside the tagline "America's First Family". This has brought several reactions from some big-named personalities in Hollywood including the Gospel mogul, Yolanda Adams, who couldn't hide her dismay about the issue.
"I usually don't get into the Kardashians world but I am deeply disappointed in Cosmo's November issue deeming them America's First Family," Adams wrote on her Facebook page. "This is regrettable and selfish."
The Cosmopolitan magazine cover flaunts Kris Jenner being surrounded by her daughters Kim, Khloe, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner. On the cover story, which comes with a 16-page layout, the Kardashians are labelled as the 'America's First Family'.
Speaking of the America's First Family, Adams wrote an article published on 'The Yolanda Adams Morning Show' website, where she has called out the Obamas as the America's First Family, and not the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
The article reads, "President Barack Obama, first lady Michele Obama, Malia Obama, Sasha Obama, Mama Mariane Robinson, Bo and Sunny may be America's first family, but Cosmopolitan doesn't think so. Instead, the magazine best known for sex-quizzes and photo-shopped actresses, gave that honor to none other than the Kardashian-Jenner klan."
Ryan Secreast on the other hand, who is the executive producer of E! Network's 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' came in to defend the famous family.
"No one could have predicted the Kardashians and Jenners's success. But when you spend time with them, what resonates is the family unit." He explained.
He went on saying, "There are so many things about them that are glamorous, crazy, and unlike our lives, but the sense of family is universal. They love and stand by one another no matter what."
Secreast, who considers himself as the older brother of the Kardashian sisters, sees the family as an inspiration.
"It takes courage to go on camera and deal with something with which you never thought you'd be dealing. I, for one, thank them for sharing the journey, because more often than not, it's not only entertaining, it's inspiring." he added.
