Sean Penn is reportedly having a hard time moving on from Charlize Theron after their split and is eager to rekindle his relationship with her.
It's been almost four months since Sean Penn and Charlize Theron broke up, but according to a new report he is still heart broken and wants to communicate with the actress wanting to revive their relationship.
"Sean's friends urged him to call her. He's called her a few times," a source said to In Touch Weekly.
The source further revealed that Theron was very special to Penn. According to the source, since the split day by day he reportedly realized how much he love his ex.
"He usually gets over romances quickly, but the more time that passed, the more he thought about Charlize. His ego is taking a big hit."
However, no matter how much he wants her back, the source said Theron refuses to return his call.
It was in June when the estranged couple called off their engagement after going out together for almost two years. According to HollywoodLife, Sean's "seriousness" and no existent spirit for fun were some of the major reasons why Theron decided to end the relationship.
"To be involved with Sean is a full time job. He is a spectacular human being but he can be tiring in his seriousness and lack of having fun," an insider told HollywoodLife. "Charlize was seeing that it was just too intense for her and she needed a breather. She still loves him and respects him to the fullest but she just needed to get out of his intense atmosphere. She is still very young at heart and he plays things by the book."
After the split Theron was then linked to Jake Gyllenhaal after they were spotted dining together at a sushi bar in L.A. According to OK! Magazine the two reportedly looked like an item.
