Milk Tray Man: Cadbury Searches New Chocolate Hero

Cadbury is searching for an important person who can fill the famous man in black polo neck sweater or the Milk Tray man.

Advertisement of a Milk Tray man during 1960s shows how a chocolate hero delivers chocolates without thinking of his own safety, just like any other Bond movie ,where the hero surmounts difficult challenges, swims with sharks, jumps bridges and flew helicopters.

After 13 years, the quotable lines of "All because the lady loves Milk Tray" will now be on its appearance after being absent from TV screens.

James Coombes, is one of the primary Milk Tray men in 1987. He will then appear in a new TV Campaign wherein he will search for a new hero to deliver the famous box.

"I loved this role the first time around and nothing has changed since, so I'm sure whoever gets to fill my shoes will be just as delighted," Coombes who took part on 1987 said.

"We're on the search for a modern Milk Tray Man, someone who is thoughtful yet adventurous and I'm really looking forward to seeing who it will be," he added.

"In the past he was known as a daring action hero, and while a sense of adventure is still key to his character, what we want from today's Milk Tray Man is someone that is also thoughtful and goes the extra mile to put a smile on our face. With an application process that's open to all, we're confident we'll find a modern-day hero and new star of our ads - a thoughtful and daring individual that's ready to step up to the mark and take on this iconic role," Mondelez International senior brand manager Hortense Foult Rothenburger said.

Everyone that is over 18 can register what are their interests or can nominate an adventurous friend at Cadbury website.

The winner will get a one-year contract to front the chocolate brand throughout 2016.

Cadbury is a multifunctional Confectionery company. It is the second largest confectionery brand after Wrigley's.
