Gemma Collins Barred From 'I'm A Celebrity' By Doctors Over Health Concerns

Former 'Towie' star, Gemma Collins has reportedly failed to join the cast of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' after doctors found she's too vulnerable to be part of the show.

The 34 year old TV personality was reportedly interested in joining this year's reality game show, but after completing the psych test for the contestants, doctors were reportedly unsure whether she could handle the stress of the challenges.

"Gemma is gutted because she was desperate to give it another go," a source revealed to The Sun. "She's in the best shape of her life but docs feared another repeat of last year's early exit. Despite losing weight and brimming with confidence, they feel she still wasn't strong enough to cope with the demands."

However, big bosses are reportedly still keen to have her involved in the show as they think she can still provide good ratings.

"ITV still want her to be involved with the show in some capacity. They think she's TV gold," the source explained.

Collins lasted just 72 hours in the Aussie jungle last year after she cracked under the pressure. After arriving in the camp, she was quoted saying, "I'm not cut out for this." Then she lost her first trial.

Before leaving the show she also feared she could possibly have malaria and panicked at a tick bite.

Last month, there was floating rumors that Gemma was kicked off from 'Strictly Come Dancing' after bosses noticed her diva behavior. "Gemma was quite demanding when it came to pre-series filming commitments," and insider told the Daily Star. "Her diva persona is a hit with fans but didn't go down well at Strictly."

However, Gemma's representative denied the allegations.

Meanwhile, Collins just made another headline. She sparked rumors that she's dating the "violent criminal" Carl Entwistle after she posted on Instagram a photo of herself while Carl kissing her on the cheek. Many fans assumed that they are an item. But Gemma hasn't commented about it yet.
