Apple has unveiled its first ever Android app named 'Move to iOS' which will give users the opportunity to transfer necessary data to their iOS devices with the use of Wi-Fi.
The new app from the American multinational company can create a private Wi-Fi network in order to transfer the user's important files like contacts, photos, calendar events, email accounts and messages. This is all made possible through the use of Switch from Android to iOS app.
Android users can easily transfer their files by simply downloading the 'Move to iOS' app from the Google Play store. After the download, the user can easily launch the app, tap Continue and agree to the terms and conditions of the software. A certain code from iOS is then required to complete the whole process.
Prior to the actual transferring process, the app will first suggest to recycle the user's old Android device at any neighboring Apple Store, for free. The latest app from Apple was first introduced after the Worldwide Developers Conference which happened last June 8.
In a keynote, the company announced that the new app will be part of Apple's online marketing material for their new approaching operating system, the iOS 9.
The 'Move to iOS' app will not be considered as the last Android app that will be released by Apple. As what other reports said, a new Apple Music for Android devices will be anticipated later this year.
The new software is now available in Google Play Store for free download. It will be officially released this coming September 25, days earlier to the launching of Apple's latest iPhones.
The app only support smartphones and tablets which is operated by Android 4.0 or higher. Also, using the said app requires an iPhone, iPad or iPod that will be set up to iOS 9.
