The long wait will soon be over as Apple will finally reveal its newest iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The top smartphone maker will launch the new products in an event which will happen this coming September 9.
One of the expected new features for the iPhone 6S is its size. According to Mac Rumors, the thickness of the iPhone 6S is increased to 7.08mm from 6.9mm. Even though the size improvement is considered negligible, it can provide a huge change in terms of handling and casing.
The slight increase of the size is will also allow the company to incorporate their new technology called Force Touch which uses pressure-sensitivity that will add layers to the multi-touch display.
In terms of specifications, the iPhone 6S is significantly upgraded compared to its predecessors. In a report by Phone Arena, iPhone 6S will have a 4.7 inch display which will be equivalent to 1125x2000 pixel resolution. It also expected that the pixel density of the smartphone will be increased to 488ppi. With this display, the new iPhone will surely give the user a more enhanced and detailed viewing experience.
Aside from that, the new device will also be powered with 1.8 GHz Apple A9 chipset and a 2GB of RAM. The camera of the smartphones are expected to improve from 8 to 12 megapixels.
Fans are also anticipating for an improved iPhone 6S Plus with incredible features. Rumors say that the new smartphone will have a 5.5-inch screen display which can support a 1242x2208 pixel resolution. Its pixel density will be at 401ppi and is said to provide a full HD resolution viewing experience.
The launching event will be held at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium this coming September 9. Aside from the new iPhones, it is also rumored that a larger-sized Apple iPad Pro and iPad Mini will be released in the said event.
