Mozilla Releases Improved Firefox 40 For Windows 10

Mozilla has launched Firefox 40 for Windows 10 which features a new look and a better protection from add-ons that are uncertified. The browser is now more streamlined and has bolder design elements and offers more space for users to view websites. The improved browser also attempts to resist the new operating system's mode that makes Edge as the default browser.

The browser received a bigger boast to offer satisfactory services to the users. Mozilla has added security features and bolder toolbar icons that makes the browser fit for Windows 10. The tech company followed the guidelines given by Google for safe browsing service.

The improved browser automatically disables the non-approved features and releases and add-ons. Detection of malware has also been expanded that allows users to identify potential threats, unwanted software and malware downloads. The new Firefox 40 warns users if they visit pages that offers potential threats and deceptive software.

Francois Marier, a security and privacy engineer wrote in a blog post that the Firefox 40 is dedicated to offer the best protection for the interest of its users.

Besides offering secure, fast and easy browsing, Firefox 40 was improved and released by the Mozilla for a different intention. Chris Beard, the company CEO once scolded the Microsoft for making it difficult for users to switch from the default browser Edge to Firefox in their new operating system issued on July 29.

Microsoft has made Edge as a default browser in Windows 10 leaving behind Firefox and Google Chrome. The move resulted to different reactions and comments both from the users and other web browser provider.

"It now takes more than twice the number of mouse clicks, scrolling through content and some technical sophistication for people to reassert the choices they have previously made in earlier versions of Windows," Beard wrote.

Mozilla also wrote in a blog post that, "Firefox also helps you preserve your choice when using the search field on the Windows 10 taskbar to search the Web."
