Facebook Adds Messaging Feature For Business Pages

Facebook has launched a new feature called Pages Messaging that allows its users to directly transact and connect in their businesses through private messaging with their customers.

The new highlight of the social networking site will grant traders to manage the costumers' complaints and suggestions in private mode, allowing to reply indirectly on their Facebook pages.

The new "Send Message" button found in the news feed ads permit the people to start a private conversations directly to business page owners. This will allow the costumers to approach the traders directly rather than first going to the company's Facebook page.

In a blog, Facebook said, "There's a reason many people prefer to communicate with friends and family through private messaging: it's fast and convenient."

"And increasingly people want to communicate with businesses in the same efficient way," the social networking site added.

Even though this kind of business transaction will be the trend in the coming years, those customers who like to complain about certain issues vocally may not be satisfied with this new communication strategy.

According to Facebook, over one billion people visit in different Pages every month. This large number makes the company confident that many users will continue to use the services of the site.

In an event, Mark Zuckerberg was asked about how the company was going to monetize the said messaging apps. The CEO stated that the company's goal is bigger so they are asking for the users' patience. The company will first focus on allowing the users to have good organic interactions.

"The long-term bet is that by enabling people to have good organic interactions with businesses that will end up being a massive multiplier on the value of the monetization down the road, when we really work on that, and really focus on that in a bigger way."

As of the moment, the new feature may not yet be usefulness to customers, but for the business itself, it can provide a very important analytical data that can be used to enhance their business and improve their profiles.
