Facebook Purchased Israel’s Pebbles for $60 Million

The fourth acquisition of Facebook in Israel will be the Pebbles Interfaces, and Facebook arranged that they are going to pay $60 million. Pebbles Interface is a developed technology that operates a computer through hand and finger gestures. Pebbles Interfaces have been dealt $16 million from companies like leading Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi, Giza Venture Capital, SanDisk Corporation (Nasdaq:SNDK), and others.

As Pebbles integrated its technology into the virtual-reality headset, it enables users to see images of their own arms and hands in their virtual-reality display.

Pebbles Interfaces revealed the acquisition, and Pebbles Interface developer stated that, "We Are Joining Oculus. For the last 5 years, we've been focused on building a technology that extends human behavior, enabling simple and intuitive interaction with any consumer electronic device. At the same time, we've seen virtual reality make huge strides, changing the way people interact with one another. "

Facebook is making a major effort to acquire the Pebbles Interfaces as it operates in one of the hot subsectors in virtual reality.

Also, Facebook purchased Oculus for $2 billion which was developed to be the most advanced virtual reality spectacles in the market.

CEO Emil Alon and CTO Nadav Grossinger, based in Kfar Saba, are the entrepreneurs behind Pebbles Interfaces. Technically, their company aims their technology in the games industry, however, they are adjusting Pebbles Interface technology for other purposes. They soon begun to collaborate with the interface for Oculus' technology the purpose of which is to make use of finger movements that will cause movement in the virtual space behind the technology.
