Great Dane 19 Puppies- Residents from York Haven, Pennsylvania Brandon and Aimie Terry knew that their Great Dane Snowy was pregnant, but to their surprise, they didn't expect that she will gave birth to 19 puppies.
Earlier, the couple went to the vet to have Snowy's check up and was shocked to hear that their Great Dane Snowy will be giving birth to more than ten puppies.
"We made an appointment to take her into the vet and they did an X-Ray and found out there were 15 little spines on the X-Ray," Brandon Terry told WHTM.
The x-ray didn't show the rest of the four puppies that the Great Dane was about to have. But the vet has told the couple that their Great Dane will give birth in two weeks.
However, the Terry's Great Dane gave birth to 19 puppies a week than expected.
Great Danes normally have a litter of eight to ten puppies so it is very unusual that it will have 19 puppies. But as the saying goes "expect the unexpected," the Terry's can't contain their emotions upon seeing that Snowy, their Great Dane had 19 puppies.
Three weeks ago, Brandon Terry was doing his work in the yard when he suddenly heard crying noise. At first he thought it was the sound of the kittens until he ran inside their home and found that their Great Dane was already delivering.
Brandon witnessed Snowy giving birth to the first Great Dane Puppy. There were a total of seven puppies delivered at the Terry's home in Pennsylvania. The rest of the Great Dane 19 puppies were delivered at the veterinary hospital.
"It's a shocker, but I'm glad that they're all here," Brandon Terry said.
The Great Dane 19 puppies just recently opened their eyes. They were all healthy and active as they started roaming at Terry's residence.
The couple who just post an ad for their Great Dane 19 puppies is now looking forward to find new homes for the rest of their 18 Great Danes.
The Great Dane 19 puppies were born on Oct. 26, 2014.
The current Guinness Book of World Records holder of the largest litter is a Neapolitan mastiff that delivered 24 puppies on Nov. 29, 2004.
A regular dog litter size in canine is between six to ten puppies according to The Daily Puppy. Great Dane 19 puppies from Pennsylvania are just near the current record holder.
It's amazing to see how these adorable puppies came out from just one litter.
