Red Lobster, the king of endless shrimp and buttery Cheddar Bay biscuits is in a battle for survival. After financial woes, they filed for bankruptcy, pointing the finger at their popular $20 Endless Shrimp deal. But whispers suggest a celebrity will save the day.
Endless Shrimp, Endless Woes
Here's the fishy part: Red Lobster's biggest investor, Thai Union, also supplies their shrimp. Thai Union is reported to have eliminated two of the breaded shrimp vendor options that supply Red Lobster and is also suspected of raising prices, squeezing Red Lobster even harder. This led to the closure of nearly 100 restaurants, with an additional 135 closures projected.
But an unexpected potential hero has entered the mix. Hip hop legend Flavor Flav is reported to be stepping up, publicly supporting Red Lobster's as its biggest - and potentially unlikely - champion. Flav doesn't have superpowers though, just a serious appetite! He recently showed his love on social media by ordering the entire menu.
Ya boy meant it when I said I was gonna do anything and everything to help @redlobster and save the cheddar bay biscuits,,, ordered the whole menu,!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 pic.twitter.com/MVBcgHe6VT

A Marketing Match Made in Biscuit Heaven?
Can one person devour a restaurant chain back to health? Probably not. But Flav's epic feast got everyone talking. Rumors are swirling that Flav might be teaming up with Red Lobster for a marketing campaign. Maybe, just maybe, Flavor Flav can be the secret sauce that brings Red Lobster back from the brink.
If you're in one of the areas where Red Lobster has closed and you're craving those delightfully fluffy Cheddar Bay Biscuits, you might be exceptionally excited to know that you can buy Red Lobster's biscuits frozen at major retailers like Sam's Clun and Walmart. You can also score their baking mix at several major retailers, including Amazon, Target, and Costco.
