Frappuccino
For occasional bubbles, Anna prefers sips of Diet Coke. Frappuccino is packed with sweetened ingredients that might be a waste of her workout.
Rice cakes
For Anna, snacking means hummus and salsa in the fridge. And sometimes it's Greek Yoghurt that's protein-friendly and zero cholesterol.
Carbs for dinner
Energy is needed during the day. When it's time for dinner, the athlete prefers Brussels sprouts or spinach and steak.
Energy bars
The energy bar is not made with minimal ingredients. It has energy, protein and when you snack the fat, you pack pounds easily. For indulgence, Anna occasionally eats dark chocolate or one slice of brownie on her cheat days without feeling bad.
Sports drinks
Unless you've been doing long hauling work out - it's not necessary to drink this beverage. Sports drinks contain a high dose of sugar and for athletes, filtered water (in a tall jug) is much healthier. A research showed that individuals who consume sports drinks regularly tend to gain more weight than those who don't. Anna also powered up with extra vitamins from powdered supplements.
Pasta
For her breakfast, she chooses fresh berries and yogurt with oatmeal. To avoid binge eating, healthy breakfast that makes you feel full longer is necessary. As you also need carbs, whole wheat pasta is a much better option with a big nutritional bang. It's good to stock up on quality sources like brown rice or quinoa, too.
Trail mix
Trail mix looks healthy but this is probably a myth debunked. As an easy snack, it doesn't fuel an athlete nor someone who wishes to lose weight. The store-bought mix could be hiding loads of fat and carbs. You can skip this and make some fresh mix using walnuts, almonds, raisins, and seeds.
